Purpose
My motivation to create this wiki is based on a variety of factors:
- The official Hypixel Wiki only covers their SkyBlock gamemode and has neglected adding coverage for other Hypixel games which leaves those games as undocumented. Those games were the beginning of their server and played a major role in Hypixel’s rise to becoming the #1 Minecraft Java server. On top of that, the Hypixel staff removed their volunteer editors and turned their official wiki into a staff-only run project. This is especially unacceptable considering how the official wiki is slow to update when new game content is released. You can read my thread for further insight on this matter.
- Unofficial wikis hosted on Fandom often contain intrusive ads and other unwanted content. This wiki aims to provide a clean, ad-free, comprehensive resource for all Hypixel games. This video provides a good summary of why avoiding Fandom is preferred when starting your own wiki.
- When trying to find an obscure piece of information on a niche Hypixel game, you might find yourself sifting through old forum posts and YouTube videos. This wiki aims to be a single, collective place where information can be easily searched and found.
